This latest edition to the 16th Century Spanish Renaissance campus of the University of San Diego links Hughes Administration Center and the existing Hahn School of nursing along the campus’ main pedestrian mall. The project’s jewel, an intimate pedestrian courtyard with a traditionally tiled fountain and intricately detailed paving, ties the existing building to the new expansion. This inviting space serves as both a quiet garden retreat for students and staff as well as an event space used by the school for various functions.
