ViaSat Grove

GroundLevel was challenged by ViaSat to re-imagine an underused space between two existing campus buildings. The solution included a space for socialization, games, lunchtime and evening meetings and events, and relaxation. The space, appropriately named “The Grove”, is surrounded by a tall Bamboo hedge that buffers it from the surrounding parking lots and contains multiple architectural shade structures nestled between specimen Sycamore and Oak shade trees that create cooling shade and a comfortable scale for the various gathering spaces beneath them.
